Geometric
As the name of geometric designs suggests, they are created from the combination of geometric patterns. Khatai geometry, Shirazi Khatami and Joshghani geometry are among the geometric designs

Shah Abbasi
Shah Abbasi carpets are based on the Shah Abbasi flower. Usually, Shah Abbasi flowers along with foliage cover the background and border of Shah Abbasi carpets. If the Shah Abbasi flower is combined with other motifs, other side designs such as Shah Abbasi Sheikh Safi ,Afshan, Lachak Toranj, etc. will be formed.

Frame
The design of framed carpets is generally divided into polygons that are regularly placed next to each other. The inside of each of these polygons is filled with different motifs. Therefore, the carpets with a frame pattern are distinct from other Persian carpets. Slimi frame and Kermani Quranic frame are two examples of frame designs.

Slimi Design
In carpet design, the collection of special decorative forms that resemble the open mouth of a snake is called “Slimi”. Slimi is considered to be derived from the word “slim” meaning “bud”, which is not far from the mind.
